We are setting up a small number of early pilots. A pilot is not a sales call. It is a few weeks of using Peato on your site and telling us, honestly, what helps and what doesn't.
Who it is for
People who manage peatland, owner or not.
Peatland farmers and paludiculture operators
Producing on wet or rewetted peat and needing a better view of water, vegetation and the work.
Peatland and land managers
Responsible for a site, whether or not you hold the title to it.
Forestry and other operators
Where peatland condition and water management are part of the job.
Restoration organisations
Who need structured records of observations, interventions and outcomes.
What a pilot looks like
8 to 12 weeks.
Long enough to see how the app fits your routine and what the hardware would need. Whether a particular environmental response can be validated in that time depends on the variable and the site, and we will say so up front.
Set up
Draw your fields, agree what you want to watch, and set the target bands that make sense for your site.
Use it
Log inspections and interventions as part of normal work. Manual records are the main source at this stage.
Review
Every few weeks, look together at what the app showed, what it missed and what was in the way.
Decide
At the end, you say whether it was useful, what to change, and whether you would carry on.
What we want to learn
The questions a pilot answers.
Is it useful?
Do the alerts and records make decisions clearer or easier to document?
Does it fit the work?
Does the app hold up in the field, with a phone, gloves and patchy signal?
What would hardware need?
What would installing and maintaining sensors on your site actually take?
What is the right measure?
Which readings do you trust, and how do they compare with what you see on the ground?
Would you keep using it?
The honest test. Interest in an app is not the same as value.
